Sorry for the late update.

My Internet was crappy for six days and it was only on Monday I got it back.

Second, thanks for all those who commented on my previous post. I’ll answer them on the weekend.

Third, I’m facing a pile of schoolwork every single day.

You can have it all but not at once.

We got a red light pornographic dance fight

I’m in love with Lady Gaga’s song “Beautiful Dirty Rich”. At first, I didn’t really like the song. But when I watched an episode of Skins with this song played at the beginning, I got the LSS bug. I really love Gaga’s songs and fashion and I personally think “Beautiful Dirty Rich” suits her personality best. I failed to blog about this in my previous post. One night while checking my chatbox here, I received two messages from a guest. Here’s what the first mesage said:

“Hey. Yung experiences mo sa classmates mo, grabe yun. You’re not ugly. Sila yon. Pangit ang ugali. Everything has a reason.”

The second message read as follows:

“-cont- Baka blessing in disguise yan ni God para sa iyo. Stay strong.”

I’ve been blessed with very kind readers. I’d like to extend my thanks to this person (whoever you are) for the warm encouragement. Now moving on, let me share to you my most recent planner doodle. It took me a day and a half to conceptualize this “plannerpiece”. I was inspired by @thunderpopcola’s drawing.

*Note: I originally posted this photo on Tumblr that’s why it’s named under shutupandsaycaution.

Let me tell you a secret about my hair: it’s naturally straight. But nine ye
ars ago, I loved Elai’s curls so much I switched to the springy look. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. What happened? I cut my hair. End of story. But have you ever seen me with curly knots without the chemicals and salon treatment? By some whisk of magic, I tie my hair up in a bun and put it down after a few hours. Take a look at my photo below:

Curious about straight hair? See the difference as you check out the next photo:

I finally got my ADMU application form and I am working on it. I’m still thinking of what I’ll write in the application essay as of this moment.

Fine fresh fierce

This past Wednesday, I watched Eclipse with my mom and tito Charles at SM. We left the house early to avoid being stuck in traffic. As soon as we arrived at the mall, we immediately headed to the cinemas to get a ticket. But it wasn’t easy for us because by the time we got there, the line was VERY long. It took us about 20 minutes before we got three tickets because some of the cinema houses were not for regular screenings. At about 11 AM, we went inside and waited for the first showing to start. What can I say about the movie? Eclipse was fine but it didn’t turn out what I’ve expected. Anyhow, I’ll cite what I’ve noticed about it:

  • They changed the line “Isabella Swan, I promise to love you forever, every single day of forever. Will you marry me?” to “Will you do the honors to marry me?”
  • The action scenes were pure, raw explosion. However, I think the part where Edward bit Victoria to death was brutal.

  • After two movies of no dialogue, Jasper has finally spoken! Plus, he looks different now he has a new hairdo.
  • Jacob looks better than Edward. Enough said.

  • The best line of the movie: “Because I’m hotter than you!”

I was supposed to watch Toy Story 3 that day but for some reasons I can’t fathom, I was stuck in the plush seat watching Edward and Bella’s romantic scenes. I was kind of disappointed with the movie but it was worth watching somehow. Now from the world of vampires and werewolves we move on to the real world. As I said in my short note in my previous post, I have good news. So let me begin by holding on what you’re reading now.

Do you remember the time I told you about my re-audition for the Theresian Magazine? I found out about the change on the day before the tryouts (June 18). According to our editor-in-chief (oh hi Danielle!), we need fresh faces into the roster that’s why the old staffers are required to re-audition. So on the night before, I prayed hard telling God not to let me pass this opportunity. I told Him I worked so much hard for it and promised to balance everything in my life. The butterflies in my stomach became numerous as the time grew closer to audition hour. When dismissal time came, my heartbeat was running faster.

I had to go face-to-face with 40 other girls in the IV-3 classroom. It was very scary. Several of them were also outstanding students. My chances were slimmer than last year’s. The plot thickened when the editors gave two topics for our essay: one about the automated elections and the other about what a rightful leader should do. What added to the workload is a literary genre of our choice. Do you know what’s worse? We only have a very short time limit. It took me about five drafts to complete my piece. I wrote the best reasons why I should stay in the school paper. I wrote with a passion word by word my essay on why our nation still needs to use the automated electoral system in 2013. However, time wasn’t enough. I didn’t get to the literary section because the editors told us to pass our papers even if we’re not done yet. I went home with a feeling of nervousness and hopelessness. I said to my own little self, “It’s over.”

But no!

The miracle happened last Thursday during our flag ceremony.

MY RE-AUDITION FOR THE THERESIAN MAGAZINE WAS A SUCCESS!

I sighed in relief when I heard my name as part of the news section. Ahhh! Finally I’ll graduate with a two-year experience in school journalism. And being a Creative Writing and Journalism member myself, I’ll have the opportunity to write for the yearbook. So watch out for it by November.

Before I end this post, let me show you how I dressed up Leighton Meester and Taylor Momsen via Paper Doll Heaven:
