Vacationing with Dadf
You’ve heard it right. My Dad, who currently works in Singapore for over a year now, came on a surprise visit on Good Friday. It was 7:30 am and my mom’s cellphone is ringing on the tune of “Umbrella”. Then, I answered the phone and was shocked to hear his words, “Baba ka rito!” So I came down and was really shocked to see a fresh Dad on the living room. Quickly, I hugged him so hard like as if I haven’t showed my hugs and kisses for a century. He told me that he departed Singapore at 12 am and arrived in Manila at around 4 am. So from Lola’s house we went home and the day went on. The day was a bit boring but he showed me a lot of stuff. He gave me an orange dragon which I named Jakey (see the post where I posted two pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal..hehe) and showed me his laptop in Windows Vista form. Pretty cool format, BTW.
Black Saturday and Easter Sunday might be the best weekend of 2008 so far. On Saturday, we went to Robinsons Ermita and guess what? My dad was planning to buy me either an iPod Touch or a PSP! I wanted a Touch, but since my parents think that having a PSP is way better, my Dad chose me to buy that gadget…the next day. Plus, I finally have a new book which I am still reading until now. It’s How to Be Popular by Meg Cabot and I love the story so far! On Easter Sunday, I and my parents went to church together for the first time in 2 years and directly went back to Robinsons after the Mass. And the triumph of Easter Sunday came: I finally got my pink PSP! Here are the pics:
MY PSP (in pink)!
Cute little dragon, Jakey!
Pic with Jakey…aww.
Tuesday: the three of us went to SM San Lazaro to buy new supplies. The supplies will be used for the renovation of our house. If before the house is plain only in color white, now it is mixed with orange, yellow, yellow green, and white. Seriously, I really like the new house better. And for two consecutive nights now, I slept straight because the weather was cold. The visit was the first time I and Mom tasted KFC’s newest dish, the KFC Famous Bowl. I loved the dish overall with the exception of the sweet corn. Wednesday, I and Mom went to Tutuban while Dad visited a friend. Thursday and Friday were the most boring days ever. No activity, Mom was at work. The next weekend pulled things up and I enjoyed the last two days of Dad’s vacation here. His sister’s family from Cavite paid us an overnight visit! With my camera, I took pictures of my two adorable cousins Abby and Reese. I’ll share some of the pics that I took:

A stolen shot of Reese…
That night it looked like I have grown up to 10 pounds. Eating 5 pizzas in one serving and a lot of Pepsi soda really did make my stomach bloat up to 1.5 inches. And on Sunday, a week after the anniversary of my GS graduation (1st, it was March 23), our family had our last lunch together with Dad before going to the NAIA airport. Dad’s flight was at 7:40 pm, so we have to get there early. And I brought my camera there so I could capture the best memories. So here they are:
After sending Dad off to the airport, I was so sad because the vacation seemed so fast. But the good news is that I and Mom will be going to Singapore for a vacation anytime this May! So keep the vacation days counting!
I might want to cross my fingers. I’ll be getting my report card this Friday! Let’s hope it turns out all well. :)

The Beauty and the Ugly
Arrgh. I just had this stupid dream last night. But half of the dream wasn’t bad. In the first part of my dream, my dad suddenly came home and he brought a pink (whoa!) Motorazr v3X. I asked, “Is that my new cellphone?” He answered, “Yes!” and I jumped for joy! In real life unfortunately, I am 14 but still I don’t have a single phone. Let’s just hope that by this year, I’ll be able to have my first and maybe the last phone I’ll ever have. I’m wishing for a Nokia 5310 just because! That’s the beauty of the dream.
And now for the horrible part: dreaming about our hated bus conductor. Let’s just hide him in the codename “Genan”. You see, Greynan is our ugly, dirty, and evil conductor in the bus during our dismissals. Since the dismissal times of the grade school and high school are different, we only get to ride with the grade-schoolers on Wednesdays and Fridays. At often times, we hate these days. We might go home earlier than 4 pm but we get to see (ugly) Geynan in his yucky three-fourths that make him look gay and his….personal hygiene. Dammo! He doesn’t even know the definition of that word! Plus, the main reason we hated him is because he has the world’s grossest odor and that’s why we nicknamed him “Smelly”! Genan would raise an arm up that would make the bus grossed out to death! Plus, he utters foul language in front of the younger kids and he definitely has 0% taste in music. I remembered him saying to our bus driver when a green-minded song was playing on the radio to increase the volume. But instead, my busmates turned it off! Hahahahahaha. I don’t know if he has IQ ‘cause he can be the meanest and stupidest conductor that we ever met. Now for the dream related to him.
I was in the classroom with the rest of my classmates. Then he came inside and I made a look in disgust. He started to yell at me those curses and foul language against me in front of the class. I know I had to defend myself, so I yelled at him and told him how evil and stupid he was. The ending? He left the classroom and never came back.
All of us have the “beauty and the ugly” of dreams. There are the nice parts and there are horrible ones. That’s all I could say, have a happy Holy Week! :)

Look at This!
BTW, if you said yes, then you have good taste! But if not, that’s okay. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. So here are the pics and see if Jake really is good-looking. (LOL!)
So, what do you think? :)

New Pics on Multiply!
Hi! I’m back again.
Loved my new blog layout? It’s a cute pre-made and I added more things on it such as an animated photo of myself (thanks to Photoshop and to my computer-genius tito) and a song from mp3-Codes.com! Just a short message: today I uploaded new pics on my Multiply and you could visit it anytime! The photos were taken from my cousin’s baptism and we had this great reception in a fancy restaurant in Intramuros. Do you have a Multiply account? You can add me anytime.
See you soon!

Stand by Me
Hey there! The girl is back.
Here I am, sitting in the computer updating my long-abandoned blog and listening to this rockin’ song. It is entitled “Stand by Me” by Oasis, one of the world’s legendary bands. I know some regard this as one of the most underrated songs of all time, but it’s real awesome. I even listened to the song for so many times while surfing the Internet! I love this song even though it has been around for about a decade already. Old-school music! The beat and the lyrics rock my world! If you want to listen to the music and watch the music video, here is the link:

Finally! My blog had a well-deserved makeover! Long before, my layout sucked. It was either too plain or too boring that the readers may not find it interesting. Thank goodness there was this cool layout website called Blogskins.com! This website can provide you the best layouts for Blogspot, Xanga, LiveJournal, and many other websites. And because of its thousands of cute layouts, it became a popular site for bloggers who need a major “layout makeover”! Even with the Teentalkers who have blogs go to the site for their layouts! Thanks, Blogskins!
See ya again next time. Let me end this post with the lyrics from “Stand by Me”:
So what’s the matter with you?
Sing me something new…don’t you know
The cold and wind and rain don’t know
They only seem to come and go away?
Candice is now signing off!

Officially on Vacation!
WE ARE OFFICIALLY ON VACATION!
No more schoolbooks, no more assignments! And as the popular saying goes, no more teachers’(and students’) dirty looks! As soon as the bell signaling the end of the grueling Science exam rang, we all cheered and made some noise! We had our English exam earlier in the morning and it was so easy! Let me tell you how did our last quarter exams go!
Religion- although not one of my favorite subjects, the exam was better than okay. I was fast in answering the multiple choice questions but the True or False part and the identification was a bit confusing. Overall, the test was average.
The day after the Religion and Soc.Sci. exams, it was supposed to be Math and Filipino exams. But because of the transportation strike, classes were cancelled but we have to review! Did my simple reading and solving work out for the next day exams? Read on!
Math- if in my other exams the identification and True or False parts were the hard parts, these were the easiest to me. Just because the solution parts and quantitative analysis were nerve-wracking. But at least I remembered what I have studied and pulled off the exam! I hope I get a better grade in Math for the 4th Quarter.
Filipino- here we go again. Reverse for the nth time: the identification part was confusing.
Postnote for March 12: I and my busmates went to McDo during dismissal. We talked about how the exams went and our “spottings”!
And finally…….Science! Overall, average. Not hard and not easy. But at least I reviewed so many times to make sure everything’s correct. Then there came our SEG evaluation, then the (yawn) Turn-over Ceremonies, the signing of the clearances, and finally, saying temporary (and some permanent) bye-byes to our dear friends and classmates. To all the freshmen in my batch who would no longer return for Second Year, I wish you all GOOD LUCK!
That’s the good news. But yesterday I received bad news. About the Internet. You see, I am a member of Teentalk for 10 months and just last Thursday I was promoted to jellybean rank. Yippee! But yesterday, I checked out my recent posts to see what’s going on. Then I saw my karma: before it’s +3/-0. Unfortunately now, I got a -1! Gosh. I was so shocked and sad when I read about my boo. What did I do? But I respect the person who gave me that. It’s not that she hates me, maybe because she does not agree with one of my opinions. Or, I broke the House Rules! Haha. Don’t worry for me. All of us can be given a yay or a boo.
So better go! Message to myself: make the most of my vacation!
Cuddly smiles, Candice :)
