Glad to see that my blog revamp is done. *claps*
I’ve got to reasons on why I’m posting here right now. One, three sections of our sophomore batch (I’m in Section 2 so my class is included) watched the movie Memoirs of A Geisha for English class last Monday. I can tell you, the movie is incredibly amazing. Aside from the beautiful portrayal of its actresses, the story is easy to understand. Unfortunately because of a strong stomach cramp, I have to go to the Clinic and missed some parts of the movie. I can still recall the time when I suffered such major embarrassment while watching the movie.
You see, we didn’t know that there will be a scene where we have to fast-forward it (read: an EXPLICIT scene). Our English teacher asked me to pause the movie to discuss a summary of what we’ve watched. I was in the front, so I’m the one assigned to “control”. I tried to pause it in a good timing, but so it happened that when I paused it, the explicit scene followed through! My batchmates kept on complaining about it, so I tried to fast-forward. But it didn’t work. Instead of skipping, it went on SLOW MOTION! Thank goodness when the movie went on, our English teacher asked us why were we acting negatively when it comes to scenes like that. She also said that it’s part of life. *standing ovation!*
Second is bad news. Like I said, I’m never a fan of Pinoy Idol. In fact, I hate it. The contestants are tryhards and annoying voices. Finally, GMA killed the show off with their “finals”. Can you believe that:
- they eliminated a contestant just at the finals? (Actually, that guy wasn’t good anyway.)
- this contestant won BECAUSE SHE CAME FROM A WEALTHY FAMILY. (Boo.)
- the judges are like….AUGGGHHHHH! Can they judge properly and fairly?
