Friend Appreciation Post

The title speaks for itself. Every conversation with my friends makes my day so splendid which makes me more thankful for meeting people like them. Last week, these five things occurred bringing to the conclusion how much my friends and I appreciate each other’s company.

1. Remember my last birthday post? I posted it on Mariae’s wall the day after I made it. Kath and Chini were able to view the post through Facebook, and both of them commented that I exerted lots of effort to make a friend happy on her (belated) birthday. Three days after I posted it, Mariae replied to it: “I ate your heart like a monster loljk :))) Thank you so much and I am so glad you appreciated everything you did for me :)” and lots more. So yes, the birthday girl loved my online birthday present I promised.

2. Chini and I chatted on FB two nights in a row about anything under the sun. It was great to hear from a long time, no see HS friend!

3. If you’re following me on Twitter, you could see my interaction with the lovable Monzie. Whenever we don’t have load, we use the ever-almighty power of Twitter to talk to each other  Sometimes we go on FB to chat but nothing beats the fun of tweeting each other may it be replying to each other’s tweets or sending DMs.

Below is a conversation we had tonight on Twitter written here based on what I remember:

Monzie: Thank God I passed all of my subjects! Nothing to worry anymore :)

Me: Congrats bb! >:D< So proud of you!!!

Monzie: Thank you! How are your grades?

Me: Did not expect to make it again but they’re all good!

Monzie: Congrats!!!!

Me: Thank youuuuu :)

Monzie: Forever 21 in SM North Edsa is NOW OPEN! :)

Me: Let’s go there soon!!!

Monzie: Went there the first day and it was so awesome!

Me: Really?

Monzie: We will go there soon!

4. Two of my friends suddenly struck a chat a with me last night after viewing our third term grades (more about it next post). Jeline was first, asking me about how my grades turned out. While we were chatting, she sounded so happy because her wish to become a consistent Dean’s Lister was fulfilled! After the two of us exchanged congratulations, we began telling about grades in different subjects as well as our complaints on some professors. The school talk then drifted to summer plans and mixed-up comedy that lasted for an hour. Jeline made majority of the comedy conversation making the chat more vibrant and less serious. I will definitely miss that banana :)

5. Vya was in a foul mood last night over her TREDONE grade, so she asked me when and where would the grade consultation for the subject take place. After I answered her question, both of us were wondering how could that happened considering Vya did more than 10 hours of church service in addition to submitting all of the necessary documents before the deadline. Because I hated to see my friends down, I gave her words of encouragement telling her that she deserves more than that seeing all the effort she did to pass the class. She thanked me after that with a grinning emoticon. I guess it was enough to lift her up after a bad day.

The friends I mentioned above were there at my moments of spring and fall, and I am really blessed to have met people like them. They never failed to make me realize that true friendship still exists in the world where the existence of fair-weathered frenemies has taken full circle.
