I am tired of people telling me to do something I do not want to do. I wanna breakaway from all the voices who force me to like something everyone’s going nuts for or do a favor to finish their dirty little work. Like I said before, I am trying to live up to everyone’s expectations. For example, just because I study in a top university doesn’t mean you can take advantage of my intelligence all the freakin’ time. I have my own struggles to face. No one is always on the top spot, and that is why God made the borderline between strengths and flaws. If you keep on saying that I am not good enough, then go make a tomfoolery out of yourself. I have a question for you: do you have any insecurities of your own? I bet you do but you just conceal it so everyone would think you are God. I’m sorry if I can be submissive; I wanted to please everyone and live up to their wishes.

Expectations
Don’t you hate it when something good comes up to you, people start to expect highly of you?

Honey don’t you love me and you know it makes me sad?
- Princess Chelsea, “The Cigarette Duet”
What’s up folks? Today I’d like to introduce a new section of my blog which is devoted to the coolest music alive today in both the mainstream and underground scene! Since I enjoy listening to music, I decided to create an addition to the site where I could share some of the most interesting tunes I’ve heard recently. I will add a new song every week to indulge all of your music-loving ears.
This is one song I discovered while browsing for a bunch of new melodies to listen on YouTube. I’ve never heard of Princess Chelsea (totally underground so to speak) until I stumbled upon The Cigarette Song in a random twist of fate. So there you go, listen to my first-ever entry on the Playlist!

#10RandomFactsAboutMe
The subject trended on Twitter today, and I made a decision to post here on Tumblr instead of tweeting them one by one. Enjoy reading all ten of them!
- I swear to myself I would never go back to our school’s Haunted Hall again. Monzie, Jeline, Kev, and I went there last Thursday and it was the most spine-chilling experience ever! The Harlequin Theatre Guild gave us a good scare with their heart-stopping portrayals of the things we usually see in horror films. There was even a point where I tripped, got left behind, and was chased after by a vampire. Talk about creepy! I’m glad I didn’t get any nightmares when I went to sleep that night.
- It was only in my senior year of high school when I first tasted Nutella. If not for Kath’s sandwich, I would have been clueless about everybody’s chocolate dip.
- Just watched Unofficially Yours with my aunt last night! It was worth the watch because it was hilarious and senti at the same time. Not to mention that it was also the first Pinoy film I’ve seen in theatres since Babe, I Love You in 2010. The movie also had really sweet quotes, such as “Mas crush kita kapag nakangiti ka."
- I’m a better in attacking opponents than blocking them in taekwondo. I swear I’m really bad when it comes to blocking enemies - as proven in taekwondo class for FWSPORT :))
- My most overused phrase is "You know”.
- I change my phone wallpaper almost every week depending on my liking.
- I played Temple Run on my dad’s iPhone even before everyone got hooked to it. I miss playing the game :( I really hope I would get an iPad or iTouch soon.
- I can live without a day logging on to Facebook but not without a tweet.
- This week, I’ve watched We Need To Talk About Kevin more than thrice.
- Because of the movie, Ezra Miller (who played Kevin Khatchadourian in the film) has gained a new fangirl ☺ I was so mesmerized by him I even made him my thumbnail photo in my main Tumblr lol. In the meantime, let me introduce you to the only other guy in Hollywood I went nuts for (aside from Jake G):
LEAP + Valentine's Day 2K12
The love survey I posted was kinda intriguing to you, huh? I hope you won’t judge me based on my answers. Under the advice of a loyal reader, I had to change some of them because they weren’t even close answers to the questions. But as you read the survey, I bet you’re curious how I spent Valentine’s Day this year. Yes, I was single, but not forever alone! February 14 was LEAP (Lasallian Enrichment Alternative Program) 2K12 and I spent the day with my super duper cool college friends. I have to warn you ahead of time that this would be a pretty darn long post because the day was so memorable.
The day began at Mcdo Taft where I met up with Tisha and Monzie. Kev was already running late so he wasn’t able to meet up with us. The latter brought her DSLR on that day which made all of us giddy because we would get to have photos from our first-ever LEAP + Valentine’s Day in college. So while we were waiting for LEAP to begin, we chilled around the amphitheater and took pictures of ourselves. At 9AM sharp, the three of us went to Enrique Razon Sports Center for the dance class.
Fast forward to 12PM, LEAP class was done and all I could say that it was tiring but we learned so much from the experience. Plus, the instructors were really good! Tisha decided to get a haircut, so we accompanied her to David’s Salon in EGI Taft Tower. Jeline, fresh from her flash fiction class, arrived not long after us. While waiting for her to be finished, we hopped around the University Week bazaar to buy clothes then had a sort-of photoshoot outside EGI. After that, the five of us went to SM Mall of Asia to spend our first Valentine’s Day together. We had a satisfying lunch at Sbarro where we had a feast of pizza and pasta galore! In the middle of our meals, we were asking to ourselves how we spent Valentine’s in the past. In a bizarre twist of fate, we decided to do something we’ve never did together: ice skating! Since Jeline didn’t want to skate, the four of us were left to dominate the humongous land of ice. And since Kev and I didn’t know how to skate, Tisha and Monzie taught us the basics of ice skating. It was terrifying in the beginning because I was afraid to fall (which happened eventually but it was worth laughing), but in the end I was able to balance and glide with poise on ice. What a great achievement for a first timer like me! Lucky for Kev, he never fell on ice even though he turned into a nervous wrack on skates.
After about 30 minutes of skating, everyone was asked to step aside for the skating rink to be polished. During the break, there were love songs blasting on the speakers harmonizing with the professional skaters who did an exhibition on ice. Subsequently, we went back to skating for another half an hour before Jeline returned from an hour reading at NBS. When everything was settled, the five of us strolled around MOA and took wacky photos in the blue. Several camera flashes later, we were at NBS where we checked out to-die-for Moleskine notebooks. However, Monzie had to leave because she was supposed to watch Mamma Mia! in CCP, so we accompanied her to SMX where her mom picked her up. The four of us were left with two options: crepes or Dairy Queen. We headed to the nearest crepe shop while Kev got giddy over a cone of DQ ice cream. As we sat in the crepe shop, we revolved our conversation on sundaes, Internet memes, and beaches. Then at the end of an exhausting yet fun day, we went home together.
Things I learned on that day:
- The snow in the skating rink is made out of soap
- The garlic in Sbarro is just as good as it is when sprinkled in pizza
- Thank my lucky stars I didn’t wear a dress like originally planned because of the ice skating activity - looks like we were fated to do it that day
- All of the lockers in the rink had roses on it except ours
- If Jeline were an Internet meme, she would be Challenge Accepted
- Whenever I would buy a t-shirt, I should get a S or XS size
- The five of us have a common interest in food, the bookstore, and ice cream
- Tisha’s favorite word is “Aigo!”
- Kev and Monzie are good photographers
In conclusion, this year was the best Valentine’s Day ever.
Photos will be showcased on a separate post :)

The Love Questionnaire: UPDATED
Even if Valentine’s Day is over, I would like to answer this survey talking about love, relationships, and secrets! I removed some of the questions, but you will know why when you read my answer to letter C :)
A: Who do you like and Why?
I like someone right now but I can’t tell you here who it is. Let’s just say that this certain individual goes to the same school as mine and we have a class together. Why do I like him? He’s cute, smart, charming, and he smiles a lot. I’d pick him over my first college crush any day.
It was also touching for him to comfort me when I got involved in an online fight in FB several months ago. He gave me this biblical verse that I would never forget.
B: Have you ever been in love? If yes, how many times, and how do you know it was love?
Never.
C: Longest relationship you’ve ever been in, and why did it end?
I’ve never been in a relationship lol =))
D: Have you ever changed for someone, if yes, how?
I wanted to impress someone several years ago so I started dressing up in a more fashionable way.
E: Pretend I’m you ex, what do you want to say to me?
Y u no love me anymore?
H: Would you date someone who’s know for cheating, if yes why?
No, because I don’t want to be in his long list of hearts broken.
I: What’s the most important part of a relationship?
Trust and affection for each other.
J: Do you like to be in serious relationships or just flings?
In serious relationships, obviously. To tell you the truth, I’ve never been in a fling before.
K: When you are dating someone do you believe in going on “breaks”?
I don’t think it’s necessary.
L: How many people have you ever hooked up with?
Nada :)
N: What age do you think is appropriate for kids to start having sex?
When they get married.
O: Do you believe in the phrase, “Age is just a number?” Why or why not?
So what if you’re in love with a guy five years your senior? It doesn’t really matter if he’s older or younger than you as long you have strong feelings towards each other.
P: What about “Love at first sight”? Why or why not?
No. It’s not love but infatuation.
Q: Turn on’s?
Dimpled smile, British / Australian accents, gorgeous eyes, guys with brains and self-confidence, sense of humor
R: Turn off’s?
Smokers, narcissists
S: What do you consider a deal breaker?
Someone who knows what he / she is doing.
It’s just like turn-offs, right?
T: How do you know it’s time to end a relationship?
When that guy is abusing me physically, verbally, and emotionally as well as absence of love and trust.
U: Are you currently in a relationship? If yes, for how long? If no, how long have you been single?
No :( Even though I’ve been single since birth, I have to admit that I want to be in a relationship right now. It just saddens me whenever I see happy couples everywhere, whether in public or in Facebook.
V: Do you think people who have dated can stay friends?
It depends.
W: Do you think people should date their friends?
That would be really awkward, honestly.
X: How many relationships have you had?
I’ve never been in one and I’m still waiting for the right guy to be my first boyfriend ;)
I edited some of my answers since I gave the wrong ideas. Sorry for that. :)

She ain’t gonna be able to love you like I will.
Bless your soul you got your head in the clouds
You made a fool out of you and boy she’s bringing you down
She made your heart melt but you’re cold to the core
Now rumour has it she ain’t got your love anymore

Noomie Doodles
I love looking at sketches made by bloggers online. Since there are a hundredfold of illustrations and graphics on Tumblr and We Heart It, I became more fascinated with the wonderful world of art. Even though I am no expert in drawing, whenever I doodle I take inspiration from those works.
Thanks to a site (who unfortunately I’ve forgotten), I discovered Noomie Doodles because it was featured in one of its posts. When I visited her site, I was impressed with the vividness of the colors and strokes Noomie (the artist) exhibited through her illustrations. I would check back her doodle site for new works ever since my discovery. Noomie Doodles, you’ve found a new fangirl in me.
Here are some of her sketches:

Work In Progress: Lana Del Ray
I’m not a big fan of her music but her face is such an eyecandy. I seriously don’t mind looking at her all day. I might be able to finish this sketch if I knew what to do with the hair.
P.S. To that anonymous coward who said I’m not good at sketching. Post yours and let’s see who’s work is better. Talk is cheap.

My One Regret
Stupid me for not begging my old teachers and younger friends for bandfest tickets :/
I simply don’t know when will I ever see my HS friends again. The last time I saw them was in UST Paskuhan last December but I only got to be with a few of them because of the crappy signal. The CWTS class in the afternoon hindered me from meeting up with them during my alma mater’s Family Day last October. If not for that schedule, I would have enjoyed that Saturday treasuring moments that would last a lifetime. Honestly speaking, it really made me sad looking at my batchmates’ stats and photos on Facebook about how much fun they had on that day while I sat in the classroom and planned for the next phase of our NSTP module all this time. I don’t even know when would be the next party with all of my HS friends invited so we could get ourselves a proper reunion. First I didn’t get to come to Family Day last year because of CWTS class, and now I’m sitting erect in my bed remorsing about failing to see SE11ORS for the nth time in Fiat Lux (school bandfest). FYI, this year was the first time I didn’t attend the bandfest since sophomore year in 2008.
Tomorrow I would forcibly begrudge on people making Facebook posts related to Fiat Lux. It looks like I’ve just missed half of my life. Kidding. I would have to bear the burden of seeing everyone reuniting after God knows when. I swear to myself I am going to do everything just to see them again. I hope the big man upstairs is reading my mind right now, thinking of bigger and better plans for me so I could get to be with the girls I’ve been with since we were in pastel-colored uniforms.
I am not losing hope. I guess all things work together for good. Maybe there is a reason why I didn’t get to attend tonight’s school event; there would be something that would make everything more memorable and worthwhile that won’t make me regret every second of it.

LEAP + Malate
Monday, January 30
LEAP (Lasallian Enrichment Alternative Program) registration day for all Lasallians! This year goes down as the first time for us freshmen to enroll in an alternative class as part of University Week from February 13 to 17. Oddly enough, LEAP will be held on February 14 this year. Yes kids, LEAP is onValentine’s Day! This is one fact that I’d be trolling around because I have to spend V-Day on a date with Hataw Hiphop 101 and with my uber friends :)
Because my friends and I enrolled an hour later than 90% of the Lasallian student population, we weren’t able to get a slot in the highly-coveted alternative classes such as Laser Tag, wall-climbing, and cooking. I wanted fashion blogging but the slots were filled so I thought of Modelling 101. But I didn’t want to take part in my first LEAP without my friends so I joined the bandwagon and looked for a class that we would really enjoy. Now that’s how we got HH 101 as our LEAP.
At 11PM, I was long asleep when one of the editors of Malate Literary Folio texted me. It was only 2AM when I learned of the message, but I didn’t read it until I got to HUMALIT class that morning. According to the Malate staffers, if you get a text that only means you qualified for one of the sections there - which I did. I made Prose as my first choice of section while Marketing and Events as second. In a bizarre twist, I got in my second choice! Well at least I got in ;)
So for the third time in a row I won’t be spending free day on a Wednesday. For the past two Wednesdays, I attended a Comic-Con and took the ITEO exam. Although it would make me lose some of my weekly allowance, at least Wednesdays aren’t for bumming around the house and doing nothing but surf the Net and watch movies. This afternoon I will be going to school for the MLF General Assembly and initiation for the new members from 2-8 PM. I’m actually hyped and nervous about it because of the initiation (which I heard would be mind-blowing). It would be also the first meeting as an official Malate staffer.
1/28: Happy Saturday
It was our second CWTS exposure in Brgy. Dagat-Dagatan, Purok 2, Caloocan as part of our NSTP-C2 subject. Before heading to Harrison Plaza where everyone is supposed to meet, I met up with Monzie at Quirino LRT station and went there together. When we hopped inside the jeep, we munched on Double Stuff Oreos and planned on our gimmick that afternoon. Since the two of us were assigned to teach two Grade 5, one Grade 3 and one Grade 4 student, we were cramming with our lesson modules. Fortunately for us, the kids wanted to review more on Math (their favorite subject!) before moving on to Language Arts. That morning we had was really fun because the kids were fast-learners and loved to share what’s on their minds. We even asked them to draw their favorite things! At 11:30, the whole CWTS section returned to the day care center to assemble before going back to school. We all arrived at 1:30 PM, an hour earlier than last week. Monzie, Kev and I immediately went to the Yuch bathrooms to dress up since we didn’t want to gimmick all covered in sweat and looking greasy :> After meeting up with Tisha and Monzie’s boyfie at U-Mall, we went straight to the LRT station to go to Trinoma. FYI, that day was the first time I went there since August 2010 because I rarely go there due to inconvenience and at the same time, distance.
The five of us had lunch at the foodcourt then went to the cinema to watch Underworld: Awakening. However, Monzie already saw the movie so she strolled around with her guy to look for a gift for her mom’s birthday. Simply put, Kev, Tisha and I were the ones left to watch the adrenaline-rushing action movie while munching on our Taters popcorn ;) The movie ended at 5PM and waited for them to meet us up but the Globe network signal was horrid the texts I received were delayed by 30 minutes. LOL. So that remained the three of us chilling in Powerbooks. Eventually, we weren’t able to meet them again because of the stupid Globe and everyone was running late so we went straight home.
Thankfully, everything was fine by Monday. The four of us blamed Globe for ruining our meet-up plans :/
