For three weeks until the dawn of May 27, I will be staying in Singapore for the remainder of summer. As part of my family’s summer explorations, we had an overnight stay in KSL Hotel and Resorts in Johor Bahru, Malaysia last Saturday and Sunday. Apparently, my dad wanted to take my mom and I there because of the shopping mall located in KSL. When we got to the place, everything was better than we expected from the flawless hotel room we stayed in to the many delectable restaurants nearby.
May 5
- Lunch at Manhattan Fish Market
- Watched The Avengers in 3D and it was my first time to experience watching a full-length feature in this format! The first fifteen minutes of the movie were dull; however, the rest went beyond everyone’s expectations until the very end! The action was heart-stopping, all of the Avengers were equal in executing their powers, the visualizations were near to impeccable, and the story was not at all predictable unlike many action movies these days. The Hulk as the film’s comic relief was a big plus! I have no regrets watching this despite the dizzying 3D effect.
- Visited the shopping mall in KSL
- Dinner at a seafood market where I got to taste crayfish and love it at first bite
May 6
- Breakfast buffet = free yogurt, pancakes, waffles, muffins, eggs, etc.!
- Got my first pair of Toms shoes + bought two shorts <3
- Left KSL Hotel and Resorts at noon
- Arrived back at SG at 4 PM
Now here are snapshots from last weekend:

Frankly, I enjoyed my second trip to Malaysia rather than the first one. It’s not that I hated the vacation in Genting; rather, the one in Johor Bahru was more exciting and memorable.
