1228-123012: Kuala Lumpur and More

Happy new year everyone! I believe all of you have celebrated the beginning of 2013 fresh with the company of your loved ones. Same for me, too! Monday last week was spent at home with a lame New Year’s countdown aired on this particular international channel (hint: it’s not TFC). But thanks to my parents and their friends, the celebration turned out to be simple yet captivating. Well how about the food? Garlic bread and pasta were delicioso

I haven’t shared to you the snapshots from our family trip in Kuala Lumpur last December 28-30 because of my dragging laziness. Now I bet all of you are waiting for them, so I will now grant your wishes! This entry will contain only a few snapshots since 1) other photos are on my digicam; I am using my dad’s laptop with a broken memory card reader so I will be uploading them on FB upon my arrival this Saturday; and 2) to avoid spoiling the contents of the intended photo album=))

Lo and behold, the Petronas Twin Towers! Never in my wildest dreams had I ever thought of the time I would get to see this out of the tourist postcards. This landmark looks bedazzling at nighttime, I tell you :)

Visited Chinatown to see a lot of LVs, NBA jerseys, football merchandise, and punk rock shirts…just make a guess if they’re the real deal ;)

“I love Upin and Ipin more than Finn and Jake!” - said no one ever.

Can you believe that they’re so famous they even have their own musical play and are featured in some cereal box at a convenience store?

SIDENOTE: On December 28, we went to the foodcenter located near the hotel where we stayed for our dinner. Our menu: calamares, sambal rice, chicken BBQ wings, stingray, and kangkong.

A shot at the bathroom mirror. Lololololololololololol :))

Watched Jack Reacher at the Berjaya Times Square from 9-12MN on December 29! Not really my type of movie but at least it did not make me fall asleep. While waiting for the movie, I had dinner at Wendy’s.

On our last day, we returned to Times Square for lunch and wait for our coach to arrive. We got to eat at Merrybrown once again after a year! How I wish they’ll open a branch in the Philippines so there will be no need to go to Malaysia only for a taste of this sumptuous delight!

Yum.

Before we left KL, we found this hidden treasure from one of the stores in Times Square:

TADAAAAAA! I finally found a lovely backpack for school. I always wanted to have one like this since last year. One happy girl here :)

Now for the photos taken on New Year’s Eve:
