As the title says, I had a very wonderful Christmas / New Year at Singapore where I stayed for 20 days from December 18 to January 7. During the vacation, my family went to Resorts World Genting in Malaysia to celebrate the New Year. When I returned to Manila last Satuday morning, my dad and I headed to my lola’s house in Cavite to spend the weekend with them.
Some of the highlights of the vacation in SG:
- Watched Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in Golden Village Cinema
- Got a haircut for the second time in a year
- Shopping + bonding moments with mom at Bugis, Vivo City, and Ion Orchard
- Pigged out on KFC and their really big chicken without the famous gravy
- Played Tap Tap on mom’s iPhone until the break of dawn
- Christmas at Marina Bay Sands
- Calories galore - Nutella, Doritos, Cheetos, Ruffles…
- Texas Chicken <3 (Does it still exist in PH?)
Meanwhile, here are some of the highlights during the Genting holiday (Dec. 31 - Jan. 2)
- Hopped on the bus from SG to Malaysia at 10 PM of December 30
- The bus we rode was so cold we were freezing
- Ate thrice at Merry Brown and fell in love with their food :)
- Watched a 4D theater (forgot the title)
- Stayed in First World Hotel @ Resorts World
- Got to watch Picture This on cable
- Made a wish on the wishing well
- Watched fireworks on New Year’s Eve
- Finished a whole pint of Baskin and Robbins ice cream ;)
- The first New Year’s Eve without a countdown + fireworks </3
Facebook friends, here’s a little sneek peek of what I did last vacation. Gonna upload them by tomorrow hehe. Forgive me for the crappy editing of the photos :P
December 25 - Dinner at Makansutra and Marina Bay Sands
December 31 - January 2: Resorts World Genting
The best thing about this vacation is being with my parents for Christmas and New Year, the first time since 2005. Beginning in 2006, I wasn’t able to be with my dad since he went to SG a few days before while my mom followed him in July 2010. I’m thankful for this tremendous opportunity to make our family complete once again in time for the holidays.
And before the vacation ended, I got a new phone. Lo’ and behold….it’s the first Blackberry Bold! I wanted a Blackberry Curve 8520 but it wasn’t available at the mobile store so mom decided to buy me the BB Bold instead because of the big keypad and stuff. Until now I haven’t decided what to name her - any cool name would do!
