Last week the Lasallian Media Week was held, and there was a recruitment for new staffers of Malate Literary Folio, The Lasallian, and Ang Pahayagang Plaridel. I planned to join there in the first term, but it was too late when I found out about the application. Some of my blockmates working in Malate encouraged me to apply there come third term - which I did last Thursday.
Tomorrow I will be heading to the Malate Literary Folio office over at the SPS Building to submit my application and learn about my interview schedule. I applied for the prose section and I am keeping my fat fingers crossed. My back-up plan if ever I don’t qualify for the section is to work at the Marketing and Events Section. Just as long as I am in Malate, everything will turn out great.
Over the weekend, I finished a dramatic short story with a load of help from Kev (who’s a member of Malate). It was the first I wrote something that featured a cliffhanger and dominance of melacholic emotions; however, it was fun making a concept out of it. I enjoyed writing it while the ideas ran like a wildfire. Then came the essays required for the Malate application and I’m doing them right now: why an ID would be my lost and found identity and the literary accomplishments I did prior to college life.
