I was browsing this site from one of my contacts when I read her post about Facebook, probably the world’s #1 social networking website today. This photo proves the facts: in the list you see on the left, Facebook is #1 while the self-proclaimed “King Of Social Networking” MySpace ranks second.
It’s official: FB is totally overrated. For me, it’s overpraised by the critics and media-overhyped. Almost all websites on Earth are mentioning Facebook with the mere fact they’re slowly forgetting MySpace. For example, they’re talking about having their personal accounts. FB is always the mentioned website. In recent movies, it’s always the stars’ main place of their conversation (watch Disaster Movie if you want to see an example).
What’s special about Facebook anyway? They just have tons of good applications and safe. However, the constant media hype is killing it. You can’t even customize your profile with CSS. Your full name is shown. And why is it #1?
I’m curious.
