What A Week!

This week could have been one of the most fun ever since the start of the school year. We were jam-packed with loads of activities: the Math and Science Olympiad Quiz Bee, our culminating activity for PALIHAN, and the concert that I wasn’t able to attend yesterday: Bandfest.

Speaking of the Math and Science Quiz Bee last Monday, we were asked to bring about 26 pieces of 1/8 crosswise for us to answer during the program proper. Oh come on, why do we need to answer those hard questions although we’re not contestants? Haha…the teachers say all of these are graded. While we were answering, we were seated by class number as expected, two lines per section. Since the questions were more than the average, we kept on asking on our seatmates how to solve a Math problem. If our answer is correct, we will cheer. Fine contest, overall.

PALIHAN last Thursday is definitely the best session to date. Although this is our last session before the school year ends, we were asked to put up booths to sell for the Grade School and High School students to buy during their lunchbreaks. Every section in our batch has a different theme; our section’s theme is fire. As for us, we put up booths for nail art, face painting, photo booth, and a wishing well except that you have to drop a lighted candle after you have said your wish. During the breaks, we weren’t able to eat lunch since we were busy attracting our customers. Me? I mingled around the other booths, such as a photo op with a batchmate dressing up as a snail (the picture isn’t uploaded yet as of now) and buying a plastic balloon. Oh yeah, I had a face paint too!

Bandfest. Probably the event you’ll never hesitate to join. I attended the event last year; however, I decided not to go this year. Too bad though, since one of my good friends will be performing as a dancer. But anyways, I wished her luck and apologized for being unable to watch the event when we met yesterday during our lunch break. I prepared my outfit pa naman, which I bought last Sunday.

Parent-Daughter Bonding on Monday. Half-day for us! :D
