I just came back right after a very stressful day. I just want to blog right now because I’m bored. I know I should be sleeping right now but I can’t sleep because I just woke up from a nap. Right now I’m thinking of two things: going to my friend’s blowout in McDo tomorrow after classes and commercials.
It just struck me. I don’t know why. But I guess it started when some of my classmates sang old commercial jingles, such as from Lucky Me! and Coke.
My mom hates the Lucky Me! Supreme Jjampong commercials. She didn’t like the idea of having a Korean-style storyline in the first ad when this kind of noodles first appeared. Now that Jjampong has a new TVC again with Korean boy band wannabes (I’m searching it on YouTube right now), I decided to post the TVC here. Do you remember, “Jjampong”?
I really love one commmercial right now: the McDo “First Love” ad. I really like the way they put their French fries in the hot fudge sundae then after a few seconds, the kids turn into adults. Let me give you some 100% true trivia: see the girl in the ad as a grown-up? That is a family relative of ours. We first learned about it during a birthday dinner of my mom’s cousin last December the previous year. One of her cousins told us about my tita being part of the TVC (by that time, she’s about to shoot the ad the next day). A few weeks later, my tita appeared in the commercial when it finally aired.
